ScaleUp Porto Renews Call For Activities And Has 70.000€ To Support Activities Of The Entrepreneurship Ecosystem

The 4th edition of the ScaleUp Porto Call for Activities brings news and promises a total of 70.000€ to support new activities in the areas of innovation, technology and entrepreneurship.

The Municipality of Porto, through the ScaleUp Porto strategy, challenges, for the fourth consecutive year, the dynamizers of the ecosystem: the technological, innovation and entrepreneurship communities of the city. In this fourth edition of the ScaleUp Porto Call for Activities, among the main novelties, the invitation to boost activities in four different areas stands out: education initiatives for technology-based entrepreneurship and ideation; development of studies, mapping and assessments of the ecosystem; initiatives to share knowledge and train startups teams; and initiatives to promote and boost technological communities.

The collaboration between the agents of the ecosystem and the promotion of activities that promote opportunities takes on special importance in this phase, given the current challenges we face. Although there are new challenges and this Call for Activities brings news, the objective remains: to boost actions by the city’s entrepreneurship, innovation and technology community, with a view to promoting an even more active and dynamic ecosystem.

For this purpose, a total amount of 70.000€ is available, which should be shared between various activities. Each of the initiatives scored and selected by the jury may receive a maximum of 10 thousand euros, and this amount will not necessarily cover the total value of the needs of the submitted project.

The entities can apply for their activities until April 26, considering that they must take place in the municipality of Porto, during the period of one year. Candidates should carefully consult the program of this competition to learn all the news and apply through the form, both available on the ScaleUp Porto website.

In the total of the three previous editions, the ScaleUp Call for Activities exceeded 8,700 participants, in 24 activities carried out, as diverse as conferences, workshops, creation of video interviews, mappings, among others.
