The second day of this intense Start & Scale Week started with a super Scale Me Up! by Founders Founders, an original breakfast where Infraspeak, one of the startups that are part of the community, presented its greatest challenges and received honest feedback from the guests, that listened and gave feedback.
The next moment was the inauguration of the cowork space Porto i/o Riverside, inserted in the Scaleup Porto Open Houseevent. The lunch was relaxed and full of Pizza & Beer, very much like the vibe of this space. The invite was presented to the community so that all the curious could meet one of the pieces of the puzzle that helps transform the city of Porto into a more innovative, entrepreneurial and competitive city.
Porto i/o was born in 2014, with its main house at Rua Cândido dos Reis, in the heart of the city – the constant demand from professionals and companies, and the space ability to reinvent itself with creative and tech events, highlighted Porto i/o as a space of excellence to the community. Fixating brains and knowledge in the heart of the city remains the motto of this awesome space, now closer to Douro and with an overwhelming view.
In the course of the afternoon there was also the final session of the 7th edition of iUP25k – a competition for business ideas from the University of Porto students. iUP25k raises awareness for entrepreneurship and for the creation of new businesses focused on knowledge and and innovation. The reality is that to have scaleups, it is crucial to have startups. These competitions boost this reality.
Throughout the day, Rua das Flores was the most active street in the city, with several activities that invited the participants to keep their feet on the ground, alluding to the need for startups and scaleups to plan and play their cards right to achieve a structured development and a promising future.
