The Productivity and Innovation Forum is a joint initiative by Fundação AEP and SEDES, dedicated to promoting structured debate on economic policy, structural reforms, and the conditions needed to strengthen productivity and innovation in Portugal.

Coordinated by Carlos Tavares (Economist and former Minister of Economy) and Sara Monteiro (Economist and innovation specialist), the Forum has brought together academics, policymakers, and experts to address Portugal’s key economic challenges and propose concrete solutions for sustainable and convergent growth.

Following nearly two years and six thematic conferences, the Final Conference presents the main conclusions, reform proposals, and an integrated vision for enhancing Portugal’s productivity and competitiveness.
