ScaleUp Porto brought together dozens of startup founders, investors, academia members, incubators, and ecosystem builders for an afternoon of celebration and knowledge sharing, focused on the future of the region’s tech and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The event marked the conclusion of the 3rd edition of Porto Tech, an initiative that has strengthened Porto’s position as a leading tech hub. Over the course of this edition, more than 30 events were held with the participation of 20 partners, highlighting the vital role local communities play in building a vibrant, collaborative, and experimental ecosystem.
“Porto Tech demonstrates that the strength of our ecosystem lies in the people and communities that nurture it every day. Collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the ability to innovate together form the foundation for the city’s sustainable growth as a technological and entrepreneurial center,” said Hugo Beirão, Porto’s Councilor for Economy and Entrepreneurship.
The event also marked the launch of the latest edition of the Porto Region Startups & Scaleups Ecosystem Study, a key tool for understanding the evolution of entrepreneurship in the city and surrounding region. The study provides an updated analysis of ecosystem dynamics and serves as a foundation for more informed public policy, entrepreneurship support strategies, and investment decisions.
In the spirit of collaboration, attendees were invited to explore and discuss the insights revealed by the study, fostering collective reflection on the ecosystem’s next steps and the role of the community in shaping its future.
