City Witnesses The Expansion Of The Entrepreneurial Community Year After Year

The Founders Founders community arrived in the city in 2017 and has based its expansion on creativity and entrepreneurship. With a new home for almost two years, the group received a visit from Ricardo Valente, the Councilor for Economy, Employment, and Entrepreneurship.

The entrepreneurs inaugurated the new facilities, located on Rua do Godim in Campanhã, in October 2022, quickly becoming the new hub for technology, creativity, and business in the area. The first year in the new space was for acclimation, the second for consolidation, and this last year has been marked by expansion.

With a privileged view over the eastern part of the city, the business incubator, which currently houses 13 companies in the physical space, received a visit from Ricardo Valente, who highlighted the importance of the Municipality strengthening its relationships with this community of entrepreneurs.

“This project is an important milestone for the Campanhã area, showcasing the ability of the city’s entrepreneurs to invest in the creation of business development hubs, innovation, and knowledge communities in areas as diverse as fintech, biotechnology, energy, and life sciences. Seeing the city expand its dynamism to the eastern area demonstrates the future path that encompasses the city as a whole,” emphasized the head of the Economy, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Department.

In addition to the startups that are part of the physical space in Porto, Founders Founders also provides consulting and incubation services to a broader universe of around 50 companies and has stood out for being an open community of support, mentorship, sharing of businesses, problems, and solutions.

Founders Founders was created in 2015 by five startup founders: Felipe Avila da Costa, José Faria dos Santos, Paulo da Silva Cunha, Rui Santos Couto, and Tiago Carvalho.

The professional space aims to perpetuate the spirit of the startup community and contribute with a new space for companies in Portugal.
