As part of the Start & Scale Week, Scaleup For Europe Conference looks at cities as catalysts. Researchers, mentors, investors, entrepreneurs, incubators and companies are put together to understand how to create a platform able to support and promote growth, increasing scaleup’s chances of success.
Cities can promote growth and internationalization by provide entrepreneurs with information about new business environments. But a lot can be done.
How to help companies to grow and be competitive on an international level, while facing challenges connected to the European environment? This and more questions will be under discussion on the 1st of June at Palácio da Bolsa.
Alex Barrera, an active member on the European tech ecosystem, co-founder and editor at Tech.eu, will be hosting several panels. Daniel Kadishon, Director of Economic Development in NYC, Carmen Féliz-Taveras, Global Manager at Endeavor, will debate “Cross-border actions linking local startups hubs across Europe and at global scale”. Right after, Bas Beekman Director at StartupAmsterdam, will be joining “Job creation, by balancing training opportunities with high quality of life standards”.
But the agenda will also gather national speakers. There’s Portuguese knowledge to share as well. João Barros, CEO & Founder at Veniam, will approach themes like smart technologies as catalysts for innovation and growth.
