The third edition of the SIM Conference is officially on the horizon. The event, which brings together startups, investors, and leaders from the entrepreneurial ecosystem, will return to the Alfândega Congress Centre in Porto on May 14–15, 2026. The first speakers have just been announced, along with the opening of ticket sales.
The first confirmed speakers include:

- Behdad Esfahbod (Software engineer, creator of HarfBuzz, former Google & Meta)
More speakers will be announced soon, further strengthening the international diversity and relevance of the program.
A stage for global entrepreneurship
The SIM Conference has become one of the key gatherings in Portugal’s entrepreneurial scene, attracting voices from around the world to discuss major trends in Energy, Defense, Gaming, Space Technology, Health, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Deep Tech.
The program is designed to spark collaboration and knowledge-sharing through multiple formats:
- SIM Stage: keynotes on trends shaping the future.
- Startup Studio: intimate conversations between founders and investors.
- Workshops: hands-on sessions with practical tools and takeaways.
- Connecting Circles: small-group meetings with founders and speakers.
- Q&A Forum: exclusive sessions for audience questions right after talks.
In its last edition, held in May 2025, the conference brought together 3,500 participants, 400 startups, and 230 investors, featuring 190 national and international speakers across nearly 100 sessions.
Early bird tickets available until November
The first batch of tickets is now on sale, with discounted prices available until November. The launch of ticket sales was announced during the latest Above & Beyond Hangouts on Defense Tech, where we were present.
The SIM Conference 2026 is once again set to position Porto at the center of the global conversation on the future of entrepreneurship.
