DESCRIPTION:ClimateLaunchPad – the world’s largest cleantech competition \nClimateLaunchPad is the largest cleantech competition in the world and is organised in Portugal by UPTEC– Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto\, Ordem dos Engenheiros – Região Norte (OERN) and Fórum Oceano/Hub Azul. Agriculture\, air and environment\, clean energy\, clean industry\, energy storage\, efficiency\, transport and water are the European Union initiative’s categories that want to grow cleantech projects worldwide. \nThe three **winners** of the ClimateLaunchpad national final will represent Portugal in the regional final of the competition. They will enjoy free incubation at UPTEC for four months\, mentoring\, training\, and other prizes awarded by the programme’s partners\, valued at 10\,000 euros. \nSeveral organisations in Portugal are participating in the biggest cleantech competition. This edition is supported by 3xP Global\, Câmara Municipal de Matosinhos\, Crowe\, Galp\, Prio\, Vieira de Almeida and Smart Waste Portugal. \nThroughout the programme\, participants participated in an online course and an intensive 3-day boot camp with a certified trainer from EIT Climate-KIC\, the European Union’s main initiative in climate-related innovation. In addition\, participants had access to pitch training and mentoring sessions with experts in environmental sustainability and the circular economy\, including professionals from the programme’s organisers in Portugal: UPTEC\, OERN and Fórum Oceano/Hub Azul. \nSince the competition began in 2014\, almost 15\,000 business ideas from 60 countries worldwide have applied to ClimateLaunchpad. The 5\,000 “green” companies that have passed the programme have already received more than 500 million euros in external investment. \nRunning in Portugal since 2016\, the programme has received more than 150 applications and supported more than 80 teams and more than 150 participants. As candidaturas podem ser submetidas no formulário disponível aqui até ao próximo dia 28 de Junho. \nA 11.ª edição do Prémio Empreendedorismo e Inovação foca-se na temática de inovação e cada projeto deve enquadrar-se numa das quatro categorias existentes. São elas a Transição Energética e Neutralidade Carbónica; a Resposta a Stresses Bióticos e Abióticos; Valorização de Recursos Endógenos; e Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional. \nDo conjunto de candidaturas submetidas a concurso\, o Prémio Empreendedorismo e Inovação considera\, ainda\, três distinções de reconhecimento especial. A distinção BfK Awards\, atribuída exclusivamente pela ANI\, renova a sua parceria no concurso e destina-se ao projeto finalista que\, independentemente da categoria\, se considere o “melhor exemplo de projeto nascido do conhecimento”. O Projeto de Elevado Potencial promovido por Associação Crédito Agrícola e a Menção Honrosa Inovação em Parceira compõem as restantes distinções de reconhecimento especial. \nO valor total dos prémios a atribuir é de €30.000\, o que corresponde ao valor de €5.000 ao vencedor de cada uma das quatro categorias e ao Projeto de Elevado Potencial promovido por Associado Crédito Agrícola\, na distinção de reconhecimento especial. DESCRIPTION:As candidaturas ao Sistema de Incentivos Fiscais à I&D Empresarial (SIFIDE)\, gerido pela ANI\, estão abertas até 31 de maio de 2024. As empresas com atividades em I&D no ano fiscal de 2023 podem assim recuperar parte do seu investimento através de crédito fiscal. \nAs empresas com período de tributação diferente do ano civil podem submeter a sua candidatura até ao último dia do quinto mês seguinte à data do termo do período de tributação a que respeitam as despesas de I&D. \nNo formulário relativo às atividades de I&D desenvolvidas durante o ano de 2023\, é necessário o preenchimento do Mapa de Despesas\, devidamente sufragado pelo Contabilista Certificado (CC) da empresa candidata\, através de Declaração (gerada automaticamente na plataforma\, disponível para assinatura). \nO SIFIDE visa aumentar a competitividade das empresas apoiando o seu esforço em I&D\, através da dedução à coleta do IRC de uma percentagem das respetivas despesas. DESCRIPTION:What is EWA programme?\nEmpowering Women in Agrifood programme aims to provide comprehensive support to women in their early-stage entrepreneurial path in discovering their potential\, providing them with appropriate knowledge and access to a wide network of contacts so that they can successfully set up and develop a sustainable business in the agrifood industry. During the programme EWA participants take part in dedicated trainings\, workshops and events\, while developing ideas under the individual supervision of a professional female or male Mentor. \nWho can participate?\nAny person who identifies as a woman over the age of 18 can fill out an online application for the programme. There is no upper age limit. The programme is dedicated to both women who have only a business idea and women who are already running a business\, but it should be at a very early stage of development. In the case of running a business\, the date of its legal registration should not exceed three years\, and in the case of previously received funding\, it may not exceed EUR 30\,000. \nParticipants must be located in any of the Member States eligible for the programme. \nFor the Southern Region countries\, Greece\, Italy\, Portugal\, Spain and Türkiye are eligible countries. \nApplication process and deadlines\nApplicants must complete the forms in the F6S platform (access via Typeform). \nThe call ends on 24 May at 23:59 CET for applicants resident in Greece\, Spain\, Portugal and Italy. Applicants from Turkey can apply until 31 May at 23:59 CET. \nWhat ideas are we looking for?\nEWA programme supports ideas directly related to innovative activities and solutions for the agri-food sector that respond to the challenges currently faced by local markets. \nIn their assumptions\, business ideas should also refer to at least one of the missions that the EIT Food organisation is guided by. \nLearn more about EIT Food’s Missions here. \nHow programme will be delivered?\nEWA programme will run in local languages for a period of 6 months up to 10 women per country. DESCRIPTION:Applications are now open for the 2024 edition of ClimateLaunchpad\, the international programme that seeks the best business ideas to combat climate change. In Portugal\, the largest cleantech competition in the world is organized by UPTEC—Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto\, OERN—Order of Engineers Northern Region\, and Fórum Oceano/Hub Azul. \nThe European Union’s initiative wants to grow cleantech projects from around the world in the categories of agriculture\, air and environment\, clean energy\, clean industry\, energy storage\, efficiency\, transport and water. The three winners of the national final of ClimateLaunchpad will represent Portugal in the regional final of the competition and enjoy free incubation at UPTEC for four months\, in addition to mentoring\, training and other prizes awarded by the programme’s partners valued at 10 thousand euros. \nSeveral entities in Portugal are associated with the largest cleantech competition. This edition has the support of 3xP Global\, Câmara Municipal de Matosinhos\, Crowe\, Galp\, Prio\, Vieira de Almeida\, Smart Waste Portugal and Pacto Português para os Plásticos. \nThroughout the programme\, all participants can participate in an online course and an intensive 3-day boot camp with a certified trainer from EIT Climate-KIC\, the European Union’s leading initiative in climate-related innovation. In addition\, participants will have access to pitch training and mentoring sessions with experts in environmental sustainability and circular economy\, including professionals from the program’s organizing entities in Portugal: UPTEC\, OERN and Fórum Oceano/Hub Azul. \nSince the inception of this competition in 2014\, nearly 15\,000 business ideas from 60 countries worldwide have applied to ClimateLaunchpad. The 5\,000 “green” companies that have passed the programme have already received more than 500 million euros in foreign investment. \nIn Portugal since 2016\, the programme has received more than 150 applications and supported more than 80 teams and more than 150 participants. DESCRIPTION:Organizado pela U.Porto Inovação\, o iUP25k tem como objetivo ser uma verdadeira ação de ignição para o empreendedorismo e para a criação de empresas inovadoras e com impacto. Além disso\, pretende premiar os estudantes\, cientistas\, professores\, funcionários ou alumni da U.Porto que\, com os seus projetos\, pretendam valorizar o conhecimento gerado na instituição. \nDesde a sua criação\, em 2010\, o iUP25k já apoiou dezenas de ideias. Para esta décima edição\, o concurso conta com o apoio dos parceiros Caixa Geral de Depósitos e UPTEC e há prémios monetários reservados para os três primeiros classificados: 3.000 euros para o primeiro\, 2.000 para o segundo e 1.000 para o terceiro. \nOs três primeiros classificados vão ainda beneficiar de um período de incubação na UPTEC e serviços de consultoria em empreendedorismo \nAs candidaturas ao iUP25k 2024 já estão abertas e decorrem até 29 de abril de 2024. Para participar basta apenas dois passos: assinar a declaração de compromisso e submeter o formulário de candidatura. \nO anúncio das 12 equipas finalistas terá lugar a 14 de maio. A grande final está marcada para 24 de maio e culminará com o anúncio dos vencedores.

The SIM Conference (2-4 May) is set to match entrepreneurs\, startups\, and national and international investors. Focused on generating opportunities for connections\, through carefully curated content\, SIM is a unique experience for founders and investors to forge meaningful relationships. \nIn this unique Hangout\, we’ll wrap up this SIM Circuit\, circling back to some of the most important points of relevance\, and we’ll unveil what is coming up with SIM Conference. DESCRIPTION:O Pathways2EIC é um programa de capacitação dedicado a munir a comunidade nacional das ferramentas necessárias para uma candidatura de sucesso ao European Innovation Council – EIC Accelerator.
