SUMMARY:Expert Talks: Lisa Crispin - A Whole Team Approach to Quality in Continuous Delivery
DESCRIPTION:It’s not uncommon for teams practicing\, or moving towards\, continuous delivery to face a growing backlog of customer-reported bugs and struggle to maintain their deployment cadence. If a team has testers\, the testers may be expected to continue with their same testing activities\, without any thought as to how those can be fit into CD. Teams without testing specialists often struggle with insufficient coverage from their automated regression tests\, and they may miss serious problems entirely because of inadequate exploratory testing.

SUMMARY:Secure Continuous Delivery
DESCRIPTION:When organisations begin to adopt Continuous Delivery\, engineering teams begin to deliver at a pace that can create a strain on other parts of the business. Security teams often struggle to adapt to this faster delivery model\, but that doesn’t need to be the case.\nIn this talk\, Stuart will discuss a few ways you can take advantage of continuous delivery to make security a first class citizen of software engineering. Grounding the theory with real world experience\, he’ll share a few stories of how other organisations have used these ideas to transform their delivery.

SUMMARY:Masterclass | Having an efficient Dev team: cut the crap
DESCRIPTION:About this Event\n\n\nTeams must be more efficient than ever. How to create and manage a tech team in a lean and productive way? \nThis session will be divided in two parts\, the first one dedicated to the creation of a tech team and the second one to its management. \n___________ \nPart I – Being efficient when creating the right team\nAre you posting job offers like crazy and waiting (and praying) for the best candidates to apply? Do you spend lots of money in job ads or hiring agencies but you a don’t get qualified candidates? Are you struggling to attract\, engage and hire top talent? Meet the Inbound Recruiting Methodology\, the candidate-centered recruiting process that helps IT companies attract the right talent for them\, engage candidates through the process and hire them faster. In this talk\, we will give you tricks that you can apply from that day\, to be more effective attracting the right talent leveraging your web and social networks and saving money. \nPart II – Managing the team efficiently\nRecently\, teams had to rapidly adapt to new ways of working. It has been quite challenging for team leaders to guarantee efficiency and performance in their teams\, in a good balance with a shift of priorities within companies. \nNow\, more than ever\, teams must be productive and cost-efficient. Dev teams are no exception. \nSo\, let’s cut the crap and make it happen!\n___________ \nAbout the Guests\nToni Gimeno\nToni Gimeno collaborates with companies to change the way they recruit\, applying Digital Marketing strategies to build their Employer Branding\, attracting and engaging the best talent to get a committed team. \nHe is the creator of the Inbound Recruiting methodology and he has given conferences and trainings to more than 6000 HR & Marketing professionals\, and he is also one of the founders of Talent Clue\, a recruitment software in Spain. \nToni has implemented the Inbound Recruiting methodology in different sectors\, mostly IT and he has collaborated with companies such as Amazon\, Adecco\, CaixaBank\, L’Oreal\, Primark or Salsa. \nPedro Torres\nPedro Torres helps Startups\, Scaleups and Bluechip companies scaling their Engineering Teams by giving them Autonomy\, Mastery\, and Purpose. \n___________ \nLearn2Lead\nThis session is taking place as part of the Learn2Lead movement. \nLearn2Lead arises from the intention to impact the city of Porto with a set of knowledge sharing sessions that aim to develop the city’s human capital and share new ways of working\, helping to build an organizational culture that is aligned with the global reality. \nThe content is curated with the support of Luís Silva (Head of People Interaction & Brand @ Fabamaq)\, Sofia Matos (Head of People & Culture @ Infraspeak) and Carlos Meinedo (Motion Design @ Fabamaq).

SUMMARY:Road to Doing Business - Pitch - Comunicação e Expressão
\n==================== \nAbout the Road to Doing Business\nIn troubled times when collaboration can only bring an advantage to the ecosystem\, together with UPTEC\, ScaleUp Porto is promoting the 5th edition of Doing Business.
