Porto\, a 3.ª edição do BluAct\, um programa de apoio ao crescimento da economia azul que procura startups com ideias de negócio inovadoras\, em particular que apresentem soluções com impacto na sustentabilidade do setor da água e da indústria conserveira. \nAo participar nesta edição do BluAct\, as startups selecionadas usufruirão de um programa de mentoria para apoio ao desenvolvimento do modelo de negócio e preparação para a apresentação dos projetos empresariais no evento final. \nPodem concorrer ao programa todas as ideias e/ou projetos de negócio relacionados com a pesca\, transformação\, conservação e comercialização do pescado; aquacultura\, bio recursos e biotecnologia azul; portos\, transportes e logística; indústrias navais e energias marinhas; náutica e turismo náutico\, desde que produzam efeito na economia do mar. \nPara o primeiro classificado\, está prevista a atribuição de prémio pela empresa Indaqua-Matosinhos no valor pecuniário máximo de 5.000 euros\, e para o projeto que demonstrar maior impacto na indústria conserveira\, promovendo a economia circular e a sustentabilidade\, está prevista a atribuição de prémio pela empresa Conservas Portugal Norte no valor pecuniário de 2.500 euros. SUMMARY:Innovations for Non-Communicable Diseases and Mental Health Management in Primary Health Care (International call deadline)
DESCRIPTION:Through this challenge\, our objective is to identify two well-suited innovations for implementation in primary healthcare settings to enhance person-centered\, high-quality care for Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs) and mental health. These selected technologies will receive support for feasibility assessment and preparation for deployment in primary healthcare facilities within the targeted Developing Member Countries (DMCs) in the ADB’s portfolio\, specifically Bangladesh\, Indonesia\, or Uzbekistan. \nNon-communicable diseases (NCDs)\, including mental health conditions\, present a significant challenge to public health and economies globally. The impact of NCDs and mental health conditions is particularly pronounced in the Asia-Pacific region\, with a disproportionate burden on low- and middle-income countries. Introducing health technology innovations like point-of-care diagnostics\, mobile health applications\, telemedicine\, wearable devices\, and other artificial intelligence and machine learning-enabled digital health tools\, holds immense potential as a crucial intervention. These technologies are poised to enhance screening\, diagnosis\, self-care\, and management of NCDs and mental health conditions for communities in primary healthcare settings. \nThrough this joint effort\, PATH and ADB aim to drive the adoption of innovative technologies to elevate the management of NCDs and mental health at the primary care level.
