DESCRIPTION:Even though presenting challenges\, cities can be huge markets for new tech companies.In this edition of Porto Startup Coffee we’ll hear first hand from a tech company that has been working with cities on an international level\, promoting innovation and supporting smart city strategies. \nWe’ll welcome Ricardo Vitorino\, R&I Manager\, and Francisco Monsanto\, Software Engineer at Ubiwhere\, a software and R&D company for the Smart Cities\, Telecommunications and Internet of the Future sectors\, founded in 2007. \nUnder the smart cities theme\, you’ll also hear about Synchronicity\, a project that involves several cities across the world\, including Porto\, that aims to shape a global market based on the needs of the cities and soon will launch a €3M Open Call for tech SMEs. \nThis meetup is part of the Startup Europe Week\, an initiative promoted by the European Commission and Startup Europe. \n
